SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (January 15, 2018) -- One hundred and seventy-two (172) applications were submitted to the CGAcers club for holes-in-one in 2017. The longest ace recorded was 191-yards by Robert Heckman from Raleigh, NC on September 4 at the Country Club at Crystal Coast in Pine Knoll Shores, NC.  Robert used a 4 Hybrid on Hole #8.  The shortest ace was 70-yards made by Ellen Vincent from Charlotte, NC on August 2  at the Carmel Country Club in Charlotte, NC on the 8th hole.

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (January 12, 2018) – The membership of Hope Valley Country Club has announced the inaugural Hope Valley Junior Invitational will be conducted on the Donald Ross designed golf course on August 14-16, 2018.  The event will be a 54-hole stroke play tournament for boys and girls who earn their invitation through 22 invitation criteria categories that include junior tournaments and rankings from over five states.
