GREENVILLE, S.C. (October 21, 2017) – Two talented teams produced a dramatic final day as the 24-golfer Virginias team notched a four-point victory (26-22) at the 72nd Captain’s Putter Matches hosted by Greenville Country Club's Chanticleer Course. The Virginias team reclaimed the Captain’s Putter Trophy awarded to the champions and ended the Carolinas' two-year win streak.

Due to the forecast of heavy rains in the Linville area on Monday and chance of up to 2 inches of rain, the Foundation Four-Ball Tournament at Grandfather Golf & Country Club on Monday, October 23 has been cancelled.    

All teams in the field will receive a full refund of their entry fee.  Any makeup date annoucements will be made in the future.

Defending Champions, Jerry Richardson of Cary, NC and Jd McNeil of Raleigh, NC opened with an eight-under par, 63, to grab a share of the lead after the first round of the 22nd NC Four-Ball Championship. These three-month experiences involve exposure to all aspects of golf administration including but not limited to: championships, qualifiers and one-day tournaments; handicap and course rating department; communications; membership and general office administration.

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (October 10, 2017) -- The 22nd North Carolina Four-Ball Championship will be played at TPC Wakefield Plantation in Raleigh from Friday, October 13th to Sunday, October 15th.  The championship format is 54 holes of four-ball stroke play. After 36 holes, the field will be cut to the low 30 teams and ties for the final round.
