SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (February 13, 2018) -- The rich history of golf in the Carolinas now has a home. The Xan Law, Jr. Hall of History opened for the first time at Carolinas Golf House on Saturday, February 10th. The grand opening, attended by 200 guests, preceded the Carolinas Golf Association's annual meeting and Carolinas Golf Night.

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (February 13, 2018) -- On Saturday, February 10, 2018, the Carolinas Golf Association’s annual meeting was hosted by Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Southern Pines, N.C. The CGA’s annual meeting was held in conjunction with Carolinas Golf Night, which recognizes the CGA’s year-end award winners, champions, and volunteers. The Redman family brought the Havemeyer trophy to display, which Doc Redman of Raleigh, N.C. earned by winning the 2017 U.S. Amateur.

The longest ace recorded was 191-yards by Robert Heckman from Raleigh, NC on September 4 at the Country Club at Crystal Coast in Pine Knoll Shores, NC. Robert used a 4 Hybrid on Hole #8. The shortest ace was 70-yards made by Ellen Vincent from Charlotte, NC on August 2 at the Carmel Country Club in Charlotte, NC on the 8th hole.

(January 12, 2018) – The membership of Hope Valley Country Club has announced the inaugural Hope Valley Junior Invitational will be conducted on the Donald Ross designed golf course on August 14-16, 2018. The event will be a 54-hole stroke play tournament for boys and girls who earn their invitation through 22 invitation criteria categories that include junior tournaments and rankings from over five states.
