33 players are entered in this year's championship. WEST END, NC (7/7/14) -- The 100th Carolinas Amateur Championship will be held at the Greenville Country Club (Chanticleer) in Greenville, SC on July 10-13, 2014.

This year marks the 100th playing of the Carolinas Amateur Championship. Jonathan Rector of Hendersonville, NC fired an eight-under par round of 64 to lead after Round 1.  After 18 holes the field of 84 players was cut to the low 26 scores and ties plus any scores within 8 shots of the 3rd place score for Tuesday’s final round. The Capers Cup team competition is held during rounds one and two of the Carolinas Amateur Championship. Three or four bona fide members from the same club comprise a team. The low three scores count each round. Winner is the team posting the lowest 36 hole score. Co-champions is declared in the event of a tie.
