US Senior Amateur Qualifying Results from High Point CC

HIGH POINT, NC – Sectional qualifying results of the 2017 US Senior Amateur Championship of the United States Golf Association hosted by High Point Country Club (Willow Creek) in High Point, NC on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 (6,650 yards, Par 36-36—72, (73.3/139).
Four qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.
Harrison Rutter from Winston-Salem, NC bested the field by four shots en route to a five-under par 67 to earn medalist honors. Russ Perry from Winston-Salem, NC and Larry Clark from Kingston, NC earned the second and third spots with scores of one-under par 71. Rick Cloninger from Fort Mill, SC claimed the final spot with an even par round of 72.
The four qualifiers advanced to the US Senior Amateur Championship will be held August 26-31 at The Minikahda Club, Minneapolis, Minnensota.
