US Open Local Qualifying Results - Columbia CC
BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (April 28, 2022) -- Final results from U.S. Open Local Qualifying at Columbia Country Club in Columbia, S.C. on Thursday, April 29, 2022 (7,150 yards, par 36-36--72).
Five qualifying spots and two alternate spots were available at this qualifying site.
Kyle Mueller of Jacksonville Beach, FL won medalist with a round of six-under-par 66. George Bryan of Aiken, SC shot five-under-par 67 to qualify as well. Trent Phillips of Inman, SC, Scott Stevens of Chattanooga, TN and Michael Cromie of Athens, GA all shot rounds of four-under-par 68 to claim the final three qualifying spots. Peyton Shore of Saluda, SC won first alternate and Marcus Plunkett of Greenville, SC won second alternate in a playoff after shooting two-under-par 70.
The qualifiers will advance to Final Qualifying on May 23 or June 6. The 122nd US Open Championship will be played at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts from June 16-19, 2022.
This USGA Qualifier was conducted by the South Carolina Golf Association on behalf of the Carolinas Golf Association and the United States Golf Association.
