U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Qualifying Results
from Country Club of Lexington in Lexington, S.C.

LEXINGTON, S.C. (August 15, 2018) -- Final results from U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Qualifying at Country Club of Lexington in Lexington, S.C. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 (6019 yards, par 36-36--72, Course/Slope rating: 76.1/143).

Emily Rapp of Greenville, S.C. carded a two-over-par 74 to claim medalist honors in the U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Qualifier hosted by Country Club of Lexington. Rapp had a strong finish on the inward nine, which included two birdies, to shoot 36 on the back and secure her spot at the top of the leader board. Lea Anne Brown of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. finished with a six-over-par 78 and claimed the second qualifying spot.

Laura Coble of August, G.A. is the first alternate. Anna Jenkins of Rock Hill, S.C. is the second alternate.

Two qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.

Sectional qualifying is conducted over 18 holes at 29 locations in the United States and Mexico. The championship proper will be held at Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis, M.O. on September 22-27, 2018.

This qualifier was conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association on behalf of the United States Golf Association.
