Simson Leads Carolinas Senior at Camden

CAMDEN, SC – Second results of the 52nd Carolinas Senior Amateur Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association hosted by Camden Country Club in Camden, South Carolina on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 (5,998 yards, par 35-35—70, 69.5/123).

A familiar name is atop the leaderboard once again at a CGA Championship as the 26-time CGA Champion Paul Simson from Raleigh, NC sits alone at two-under par 138. First round leader Preston Edmondson is three strokes back at one-over 141.

Defending champion Rick Cloninger of Fort Mill, SC posted a one-under par 69 and is tied for 3rd place with Pat Thompson going into the final round.

 After 36 holes the field of 124 players was cut to the low 60 scores and ties for the final round. The cut line fell at 156 with 63 players advancing to Round 3.

The final round is set for an 8:00am start off #1 and #10 on Thursday morning. Round 3 starting times are listed below.
