Myrtle Beach, S.C. - A beautiful November day full of sunshine and blue skies greeted players for Round One of the 10th Annual Carolinas Net Amateur Championship at Prestwick Country Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Hank Sieling of Summerville, S.C. leads the Men’s Division heading into the final round after carding an opening round net score of even par, 72. Cecil Dupree of West Columbia, S.C. leads the Senior Men’s Division with a net score of 2-under-par, 70. James Daniel of Florence, S.C. leads the Super Senior Men’s Division after a net score of 2-under-par, 70.
In the Women’s Division Paige Donnelly of Raleigh, N.C. leads after the first round with a net score of 2over-par, 74. Patti Trazcinski of Sumter, S.C. leads in the Senior Women’s Division with a 4-over-par 76. Maggie Collins of Greensboro, N.C. leads the Super Senior Women's Division heading into the final round after an opening round net score of 3-over-par, 75.
The Carolinas Net Amateur Championship, hosted in collaboration with the Carolinas Golf Association, South Carolina Golf Association, and Women’s South Carolina Golf Association, consists of 36 holes of net stroke play using 100% of player’s course handicaps. Players are placed into flights within their division for the final round. The final round will begin at 8:30 AM as a double tee start off of the 1st and 10th holes.
