CLAYTON, NC – Sectional qualifying results of the 30th CGA North Carolina Senior Amateur Championship hosted by Pine Hollow Golf Club in Clayton, NC on Thursday, April 30, 2015 (6180 yards, Par 35-36—71, 70.1/127).
Eric Ardery from Durham, Don Detweiler from Raleigh, and Rick Lafata from Raleigh each shot one-over par 72 to earn medalist honors.
The cut line fell at nine-over par 80. 18 players advanced to the 30th North Carolina Senior Amateur Championship that will be played May 12-14, 2015 at Champion Hills Club in Hendersonville, N.C.
The highlight of the day happened on the 172-yard par 3 hole #15, Greg Kelly from Pinehurst, hit a six-iron to zero inches for his fourth career hole in one.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)
The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers. The CGA is the second largest golf association in the country with over 700 member clubs represented by nearly 150,000 individuals.

The CGF has distributed more than $1,500,000 since 1977 to benefit Carolinas' golf initiatives including junior and women's programs.
