Tucker-Roof to Face Crenshaw-Jackson in Carolinas Four-Ball Final

CAMDEN, SC – Quarterfinal and semifinal match play results of the 63^rd Four-Ball Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association hosted by Camden Country Club in Camden, SC on Saturday, May 10, 2014 (6455 yards, par 35-35—70, 71.6/128).

Defending champions, Paul Tucker of Waxhaw, NC and Brent Roof of Columbia, SC advance to the championship match and seek to become the fifth team to successfully defend their Carolinas Four-Ball title. The last team to accomplish the task was in 2003-04 when current PGA Tour member William McGirt and Greg Powell won back-to-back.

Tucker-Roof won a narrow 1 up victory in the quarterfinals over Tommy Hurst and John Ferguson. Then they defeated Luke Sampson and Greg Norris 5 and 4 in the semifinals.

Tucker-Roof will face Matthew Crenshaw of Burlington, NC and Jonathan Jackson of Chapel Hill, NC in the 18 hole championship match on Sunday morning starting at 8:00am.

Crenshaw-Jackson defeated 2006 Carolinas Four-Ball champion Robert Dargan and David Dargan 3 and 2 in the quarterfinals and won a 3 and 2 decision over Jackson Moore and Shane Rogan in the semifinals.
