ABOUT THE CAROLINAS GOLF ASSOCIATION

  • The Carolinas Golf Association is a non-profit service organization with 14 full-time employees that was formed in 1909 to conduct championships and tournaments for amateur golfers in North and South Carolina, administer the USGA Handicap® system in the Carolinas, and support its membership of more than 150,000 golfers in the CGA's 700 member clubs and associations. REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of two years of experience working in an office environment

  • Self-motivated and resourceful, with the proven ability to multi-task and operate successfully under tight deadlines and time pressures

  • Strong written, verbal and public relations skills

  • Must be organized, detailed and possess good office management skills

  • Excellent knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and QuickBooks 2013

  • Must have the ability to interact positively with the CGA staff

  • Knowledge of golf and its terminology is preferred

  • Live in the Pinehurst, NC area

  • College degree is preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage payroll and all related payroll topics using QuickBooks 2013

  • Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable including but not limited to billing, collections, and banking using QuickBooks 2013

  • Manage all office admin functions including personnel PTO and Comp Time logs; office equipment supplies and maintenance; CGA vehicle records and maintenance coordination; and other miscellaneous office management functions

  • Manage player and club databases using GHIN, TPP and MS Access

  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining office supply inventory

  • Other duties as assigned
