Carolinas Four-Ball Championship Rounds of 32 and 16 Match Play Results
CAMDEN, SC – Rounds of 32 and 16 match play results of the 62nd Four-Ball Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association hosted by Camden Country Club in Camden, SC on Friday, May 3, 2013 (6421 yards, par 35-35—70, 71.6/128).
Defending champions, Matthew Crenshaw and Blair Bowland of Burlington, NC advance to the quarterfinals. They defeated Jay and Gus Sylvan of Columbia, SC, 2 and 1, in the round of 32 and cruised past Brandon Truesdale and John Ingle of Winnsboro, SC by a 5 and 4 score.
1994 champions, Larry Penley of Central, SC and Bill Smunk of Kingstree, SC also advanced to the quarterfinals in addition to stroke play qualifying medalists Morgan Watt of Mayesville, SC and Kyle Eckenroth of Camden, SC.
Two hole-in-ones were recorded during the round of 16. Scott Harvey of Greensboro, NC aced the 140-yard eighth hole while John Schaffer of Sumter, SC holed is tee shot on the 177-yard 12th hole.
