It was five days of battling hard for the team of Davis Wotnosky and Grayson Wotnosky of Wake Forest, N.C., to eventually claim the 73rd Carolinas Four-Ball Championship, defeating Jacob Golliday of Charlotte, N.C., and Brandon Grzywacz of Sanford, N.C., 4 & 3.

The duo was able to improve upon last year’s semi-final finish. "We stuck to our game plan, and kept grinding," said Davis. "We both made some really good shots and putts.”

The winning brothers made it to the finals beating Daniel Welborn and Todd Grear of Charlotte, N.C., and Mooresville, N.C., 6 & 4 in the round of 32, Paul Fitzgerald and Matt Kilgo of Charlotte, N.C. 5 & 4 in the round of 16, then 3 & 2 on Yoshio Yamamoto and Jacob Wilner of Myrtle Beach, S.C., in the quarters, and Ryan Marter and Jack Parrott of Charleston, S.C., and Columbia, S.C., 1 up in the semi-finals.

Notable events during the week included a 10-team playoff for the final two (of 32 spots) at the conclusion of the first two days of stroke play qualifying and a late 5-hole playoff ending Saturday's round of 16 play with Stephen Lavenets and Patrick Stephenson of Willow Spring, N.C. and Columbia, S.C.  over Rich Wills and Mark Hodges of Cramerton, N.C. and Belmont, N.C..
