US Women's Mid-Am Qualifying - Benvenue CC

 

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (August 12, 2023) -- Final results from U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Qualifying at Benvenue Country Club in Rocky Mount, N.C. on Saturday, August 12, 2023. (5,785 yards, par 72).

Five qualifying spots and two alternate spots were available at this qualifying site. 

Courtney Stiles of Pinehurst, N.C. won medalist honors with a round of two-over-par 74. Michelle Jarman of Wilmington, N.C. shot three-over-par 75 and Leina Kim-Cox shot six-over-par 78 to claim the second and third qualifying positions. Three golfers finished at seven-over-par 79 and needed a playoff to determine the final qualifying positions. Hui Chong Dofflemyer of Pikeville, N.C. and Katie Rose Austin of Charlotte, N.C. won the final qualifying positions and Kimberly Mitchell of Goldsboro, N.C. will be the first alternate. Julie Streng of Greensboro, N.C. won the playoff for second alternate.

The qualifiers will advance to play in the championship at Stonewall Country Club in Elverson, PA from September 9-14.
