Preview: 35th NC Senior Amateur Championship

 

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (May 10, 2021) -- The Carolinas Golf Association will conduct the 35th North Carolina Senior Amateur Championship at River Landing (Landing Course) in Wallace, N.C. from May 11 - 13, 2021. The field will compete at 6,652 yards (par 36-36--72).

River Landing Country Club consists of the River Course and the Landing Course, two 18-hole courses designed by nationally acclaimed architect Clyde Johnston. This event will be played on the Landing Course which features Champion Bermuda greens and Tifway 419 Bermuda tees and fairways.


The Championship is conducted at 54 holes of individual stroke play. After 36 holes, the field is cut to the low 60 scores and ties for the final round. An on-course playoff is used to break a tie for the championship.


Entry is open to any male amateur golfer who has reached his 55th birthday by May 11, 2021, maintains a residence in North Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) and has an active USGA Handicap Index® at a CGA member club that does not exceed 10.4.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)
