Luke Nelson shoots 70 to lead 23 qualifiers into CGA NC Junior Boys' Championship

TARBORO, NC  (June 14, 2018) – Sectional qualifying results for the CGA NC Junior Boys’ Championship hosted by the Links at Cotton Valley, Tarboro, NC (6,669 Yards, Par 36-36—72, 71.6/120).

Luke Nelson from Raleigh, NC earned medalist honors with a score of  two-under-par 70.

The cut line fell at five-over par 77. 23 players advanced to the 51^st CGA NC Junior Boys’ Championship that will be played at Pine Island Country Club in Charlotte, NC.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)
The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers. The CGA is the second largest golf association in the country with over 700 member clubs represented by nearly 150,000 individuals.
