2018 U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Qualifying Results
from Columbia Country Club in Blythewood, S.C.


BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (October 28, 2017) -- Final results from 2018 U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Qualifying at Columbia Country Club in Blythewood, S.C. on October 28, 2017 (6159 yards, par 36-36--72, Course/Slope rating: 75.5/133).

Future South Carolina Gamecock teammates Smith Knaffle of Murrels Inlet, S.C. and Skylar Thompson of Buford,G.A. earned medalist honors after posting an impressive round of five-under-par 67. Knaffle and Thompson carded a bogey-free round, highlighted by back-to-back birdies on hole nos. 12 and 13. Caroline Craig of Sautee Nacoochee, G.A. and Ally Williams, of Athens, A.L. finished one-stroke behind the medalists  and claimed the second qualifying spot.

Elle Johnson of Inman, S.C. and Anna Morgan of Spartanburg, S.C. are the first alternates. Lauren Miller of Niceville, F.L. and Alexa Pano of Lake Worth, F.L. are second alternates.

Two qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.

Qualifying is conducted over 18 holes at 27 locations around the United States. The championship proper will be held at El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, Calif. on April 28-May 2, 2018.

This qualifier was conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association on behalf of the United States Golf Association.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)

The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers.
