U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Qualifying Results
from
Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, N.C.


PINEHURST, N.C. (August 30, 2017) -- Final results from U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Qualifying at Country Club of North Carolina (Dogwood) in Pinehurst, N.C. on August 30, 2017 (6092 yards, par 36-36--72, Course/Slope rating: 75.9/134).

Courtney Stiles of Pinehurst, N.C. earned medalist honors after posting a stellar round of three-over-par 75.  Stiles is the Executive Director of The First Tee of the Sandhills located in Pinehurst. Meghan Trainor of Waxhaw, N.C. and Giuliana Colavito of Italy locked down the second two qualifying spots with rounds of five-over-par 77. The final two spots went to Julie Streng of Greensboro, N.C. and 19-time CGA champion Patty Moore of Charlotte, N.C. who each carded rounds of 79.

Caroline Ellington of Raleigh, N.C. is the first alternate. Michelle Jarman of Wilmington, N.C. is the second alternate.

Five qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.

Qualifying is conducted over 18 holes at 28 locations around the United States and Mexico. The championship proper will be held at Quail Creek Country Club in Naples, Fla. on October 7-12, 2017.

This qualifier was conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association on behalf of the United States Golf Association.

About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)

The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers.
