Carolinas Super Senior Field Expanded

Due to the overwhelming number of entries for this year’s Carolinas Super Senior Championship at the Country Club of Spartanburg on July 21-22, the CGA has expanded the field to accept all entries and changed the championship starting time schedule.

Instead of the previously planned 9:30am shotgun start each day, we will now utilize a morning and afternoon wave of starting times playing in groups of three. After Tuesday’s round, we will re-pair the field according to score for the final round with the leaders playing in the afternoon for the second round. The top 30 and ties will receive merchandise. We are working with the club to host lunch for both days of the championship. Updated player information and round one starting times will be sent to players early next week.

We realize that this may cause some changes to travel schedules, but felt that expanding the field was the best option to allow all entrants to compete. We knew at some point the field would outgrow the ability to shotgun start each round and that time has now arrived.

The CGA is excited to see such a great turnout and look forward to seeing each of you in Spartanburg.
