Players in the following categories are exempt if otherwise eligible.

1. All former champions of the Carolinas Women's Match Play Championship.

2. Players who qualified for the championship division at the 2012 Carolinas Women's Match Play Championship.

3. 2012 Carolinas Women's Senior Amateur Champion.

4. Champions of the Carolinas Women's Amateur since 2008.

5. Champions of the NCWGA Women's Amateur since 2008.

6. Champions of the WSCGA Women's Amateur Match Play since 2008.

7. Playing members of the 2012 Carolinas Team.

8. Players ranked in the top 10 of the Carolinas Women's Amateur Rankings as of entry opening date.

9. USGA individual champions since 2008.

10. 2012 USGA Championship qualifiers. 

11. One exemption for championship host club. Entry must be received by entry closing date.

12. Special exemption bestowed by the CGA.
