NEW for 2006! One-Day Four-Ball Tournaments:
One-Day Four-Ball tournaments are open to all CGA members. Teams may be comprised of two males, two females or mixed team. Three equal divisions based upon gender composition. Fields are selected using a "blind draw" method.
Men play approximately 6300 yards, women play approximately 5400 yards.
Gross and net prizes are awarded. Players receive 90% course handicap, maximum of 18 strokes.
Entry fee is $70.00 plus cart fees pad on-site.
Four-Ball Net Knockout Rule: A team is disqualified from a tournament if they beat the course rating by 12 strokes or more AND beat the next best net score by four strokes or more. Example: Course rating is 70.2. A team posts a net 54, then the next best net score in the field is net 59. The net 54 team is disqualified.
One-Day Tournament Series Changes for 2006:
Three divisions based on gender and handicap index: Men "A" (+0 - 7.9), Men "B" (8.0 and above) and Women.
Players play different yardage based upon the gender and handicap division. Men "A" play approximately 6,500 yards, Men "B" play 6,000 yards and Women play 5,400 yards.
Minimum number of players to have a women's flight is eight players. Otherwise women are placed into regular flights with a course rating adjustment.
One-day tournament knockout rule: Beat the course rating by eight or more strokes and the next best net score by four or more strokes.
