Greenville, NC - Macon Moye of Charlotte fired a final-round 70 to win the 5th Annual Mid-Amateur Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association at Greenville Country Club.

Moye, who double-bogeyed the final hole, managed a three-shot win over Eric Ardery Durham.

Moye, the 1995 Carolinas MId-Amateur Champion, used four birdies to offset 2 bogeys and one double bogey.

"I tried not to worry how anyone else on the golf course was playing," said Moye. "I just tried to hit the shots that I am capable of."

The NC Mid-Amateur is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
