Whispering Pines, NC --- The 4th WCGA Junior Girls’ Golf Championship was played at the Country Club of Whispering
Pines in Whispering Pines, N.C. July 12 and 13.
 Taylor Dodson of Aiken, S.C. shot a 77 on Tuesday, giving her a one
stroke victory over
Jessica Hoang of North Augusta, S.C. and Ashley Osiecki of New Bern, N.C.  Dodson was
runner-up in the 2009 event.
In Monday’s round, Dodson shot a two-under par 70 to lead by three stroke over Osiecki, and by four strokes over
Alaina Yeatts of Durham, N.C.  Hoang was one of three players at 75.
The Junior Division was won by
Leigh Oakley of Cheraw, S.C., with rounds of 83-77.  Megan Munroe of Raeford, N.
C. was runner-up.  The Junior Division plays a shorter set of tees than the Championship Division.
The Sub-Junior Division was won, for the second year in a row, by
Amy Wooten of Clinton, N.C.  The Sub-Junior
Division plays nine holes each day.  Caroline Rea of Pinehurst, N.C. was runner-up.
During Tuesday’s round, Morgan Schultz had a hole-in-one on the 5th hole.
