Wilmington, NC -- Final results of the 34th Carolinas Women's Four-Ball Championship hosted by Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, NC on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Par 36-36-72, 5781 yards.

Patty Moore of Charlotte, NC and Peg Brady of Stanley, NC led wire-to-wire to capture the 34th Carolinas Women's Four-Ball Championship by seven strokes over Ashley and Shelby Osieck of New Bern, NC. Moore now holds fourteen CGA titles while this is the first CGA trophy for Brady.

This is the first time Moore and Brady have paired up together in this event and the combination of the two seemed to work very well for them. "When one person was having a bad hole the other person would play well," Moore said. “We really picked each other up with the other one got down.” Peg (Brady) carded three birdies for the team while Patty (Moore) contributed two of her own. "This was a lot of fun for us," smiled Brady. "We will definitely have to team up with each other again."

In the tournament division Karen Ferree of Hilton Head, SC and Melissa Sage of Charlotte, NC fired a three under par 69-140 total to win by three shots over Jo Ann Sluder of Pinehurst, NC and Becca McKinney of Raleigh, NC. The tournament division plays a shorter course.

Players were pre-flighted within their division for the duration of the championship.

This championship was conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association which is in its 102nd year of serving amateur golfers throughout the Carolinas.
