Final Results
Southern Pines, NC: Gary and Katie Garahan of Rock Hill, SC successfully defended their crown in the 11th Parent-Child Championship and became the second three time winners along with Chuck and Rebecca Burkhart of Clemmons, NC. Last year it took them two extra holes to secure the title over Gary Robinson and his daughter Lauren with a birdie. This year they birdied the first play-off hole to quickly dispatch Wayne and Meghan Moore of Bahama, NC. After selecting Katies drive, Gary, the current Rock Hill CC club champion, put their second a respectable 30' from the hole. Katie, a rising senior at Gardner-Web College and a member of the golf team drained the putt for the title. They join Tom and Sydney Crane of Jamestown as back to back winners of the Parent-Child.
