La Romana, DR-- Steve Harwell of Mooresville, NC and Patrick Brady of Reidsville survived a dog fight on the Teeth of the Dog golf course to capture the 2006 Island Four-Ball Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association. Harwell and Brady were tied with Logan Jackson of Winston-Salem, NC and Rob Chapman of Spartanburg, SC with 2 holes remaining in this 54-hole event played at the Casa de Campo resort in the Dominican Republic. Brady birdied the seaside 17^th hole to take a one shot lead, and secure the victory. This is the third year in a row that Harwell has been a member of the winning team.

Wayne and Josh Petty of Burlington captured the net title in the Altos flight. In the Campo flight, Harold Robinson and Bill Biggins, both of Camden, SC captured the gross title and Jeff and Kathy Howe of Gastonia won the net title.

Walter and Julie Lofink of Aiken, SC won the gross title in the Playa flight, while Ellen Jackson of Winston-Salem and Lacy Chapman of Spartanburg, SC won the net division in the Playa flight.

This annual championship was conducted on the 3 courses at Casa de Campo. The courses included the Dye Fore course, the Links course and the 34^th ranked course in the world, the Teeth of the Dog course.
