ABERDEEN, NORTH CAROLINA--- The final round of the 4^th CGA Women's Match Play Championship was played today at The Legacy Golf Links. The match between Courtney Pomeranz of Sanford, NC and Pat Brogden of Garner, NC was a rematch from the 1999 final. The score is now even at 1-1 with Courtney Pomeranz winning this year by a score of 2&1. Pomeranz had more confidence coming into this year's event. "I have played in a lot more match play tournaments since being the runner-up in 1999. I also dreamed about the tournament last night so I felt good this morning." Pat Brogden knew that a lead of 3 up after four holes was not a safe lead against the determined Pomeranz. "I had a lot of ups and downs yesterday," said Brogden, "I also knew I would have to start hitting more greens to be victorious today." Courtney played her last 13 holes in three under after being four over after three holes. Courtney also felt the turning point of the match was the 20 footer she sank for par on the eigth hole. "I followed up with a birdie on the ninth hole and once I got the first position off the teeing ground I knew I would play better."
