Santee, SC -- Adam Hart of Blythewood and Whitney Sylvan of Columbia were the medalists in the
23rd South Carolina Match Play championship at Lake Marion Golf Club in Santee, SC. Hart's
five-under par 67 earned him the second seed, behind defending champion Brian Duncan of Greenville.
Sylvan fired a 73 to earn the number one seed in the first edition of the girls division.
In the boys 13 and under divison Matthew Wilson of Goose Creek shot a 73 and was the medalist.
Match play will begin on Wednesday, with the girls and boys 13 and under divisions will wrap
up on Thursday, while the boys 14-17 will end with Friday afternoon's final match.
This championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
