Please check the enclosed pairing sheet for your starting time on Monday, July 2. Play will begin from the 1st and 10th tee. Remember that local qualifying is 18 holes, that you must walk in all phases of the Amateur and that you are responsible for providing your own caddie/cart driver. Caddies will NOT be available at Sapona Country Club. Players must walk but you may carry your own bag during the qualifying round. Caddies are allowed to rent a cart for the qualifying round at this site and transport a players clubs. However, caddies may have to share carts during the qualifying round. Only two carts per group will be allowed.
USGA Policies
The USGA prohibits the use of cellular phones during qualifying and championship rounds. Also, the USGA does not allow spectator carts during qualifying rounds or the championship proper. If you have spectators please make sure they understand they have to walk at all times during the qualifying round. Electronic Measuring Devices are not allowed.

Locker Room: Players will have access to the women's locker room located in the clubhouse.
Dress Code: Shirts must have collars, shorts are allowed but must be Bermuda length, and no denim. Policy is for both players and caddy/cart drivers.
Practice Round/Cart Fees/Food and Beverage
You are entitled to one practice round (not including cart fee) on Sunday, July 1. You may call the Sapona golf shop anytime to schedule a practice round tee time. Make sure to identify yourself as a U.S. Women's Amateur Championship qualifying participant. It would be helpful if you make your own game before calling.
There is a mandatory $30.00 cart/range fee for the practice round and includes your range fee for July 2. Cart fee for caddies/cart drivers on July 2 is $25.00. Make sure to check-in with the golf shop when you arrive and pay your appropriate fees! Sapona only accepts MC/VISA only for Golf shop or food and beverage purchases. If you play prior to July 1 – the fee will be $30.00 per person.

Lodging
Lodging is available at the Holiday Inn Express – NW - The Vineyard. Located in Lexington off Hwy 52. Exit 89. Hotel is approximately 10 minutes from Sapona CC. The rate is $89.00 + tax. Ask for the Sapona Country Club rate.
Qualifying Spots
9 qualifying spots and 2 alternate positions. There are 95 competitors in the field.
Qualifying Schedule
Sunday, July 1 Official practice round. Must call golf shop in advance to schedule a tee time.
Monday, July 6 Qualifying round: 18 holes of stroke play. Playoffs for qualifying spots and alternates immediately following play.
Directions to Sapona CC
From I-85 North, exit onto Bus. 85 North, take exit 86 for hospital, turn left, club is on right. From Lexington GC, go out Fairway Drive by first hole, turn right on Fairview.
Pace of Play Policy
A player who is discovered taking more than 40 seconds is subject to a warning and will be so advised. The player will be notified that exceeding 40 seconds on one more occasion will result in a penalty of one stroke. A third violation will result in a two-stroke penalty, followed by disqualification. A player’s time to play begins when she has had a reasonable opportunity to reach her ball and when it is the player’s turn to play and can do so without interference or distraction. Penalties are applied individually, but more than one competitor in a group may be penalized.
