Please check the attached document for your starting time on Tuesday, August 7. Play will begin from the 1st tee at 7:30am.
Format
U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship sectional qualifying is 18 holes. You are required to walk in all phases of the championship including qualifying rounds.
You are entitled to one practice round on Monday, August 6 after 11:00am when tee times are available. There is a mandatory $30.00 cart & range fee for the practice round. You may call the Country Club of Salisbury golf shop starting July 31 to schedule a practice round tee time. Make sure to identify yourself as a U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship qualifying participant. Play the Blue tees during your practice round.
Qualifying Round Fees, Caddies and Pull-Carts
Cart fee for caddies who opt to rent a golf cart on August 7 is $30.00. Otherwise, there are no other course fees for players on August 7. Range balls will be available on the practice tee. Club has a limited number of caddie carts that will be available on a first come-first serve basis. Caddies may have to share carts during the qualifying round with no more than two carts allowed per group. Caddies will NOT be available at CC of Salisbury. You may carry your own bag or bring a caddie during the qualifying round. Personal pull-carts are allowed.
CC of Salisbury accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express and cash for cart & range fees, golf shop purchases, and food & beverage.
Food and Beverage
The club’s grill room in the clubhouse will be available for service.
USGA Policies
The use of distance measuring devices during qualifying and championship rounds is prohibited. The USGA prohibits the use of cellular phones during qualifying and championship rounds. Traditional metal spikes are not allowed. The penalty for non-compliance is disqualification. The "One-Ball" rule will be in effect. A score card is deemed official once the player leaves the scoring area.
Spectators
Spectators are welcome at this event and should walk on or near cart paths at all times. Due to the USGA’s policy, spectator carts will not be permitted for any reason.

Dress Code: Shirts must have collars, shorts are allowed but must be Bermuda length, and no denim. Policy is for both players and caddies.

Lodging is available at the Hampton Inn-Salisbury (704-637-8000) located at 1001 Klumac Road, Salisbury, North Carolina, 28144. Hotel is approximately 15 minutes from CC of Salisbury. Check online for best rates.
There are 7 qualifying spots and 2 alternate positions. Field size is 118 players. An on-course playoff will be used to determine final qualifying or alternate position order. Players are responsible for making themselves available at the scoreboard to receive playoff information.
Qualifying Schedule
Monday, August 6 Course available for practice after 11:00am. Must call in advance for starting time.
Tuesday, August 7 Qualifying Round. 18 holes of stroke play. Playoffs for qualifying spots and alternates immediately following play.
Traveling I-85 take exit 76 for Salisbury, Innes Street.
If traveling south on I-85, turn Right at the end of the ramp onto Innes Street.
If traveling north on I-85, turn left at the end of the ramp onto Innes Street.
Take a Right on Main Street.
Turn Left onto W. Eleventh Street.
W. Eleventh St. becomes Club Drive.
Go through the stop sign and up the hill into parking lot.
The Clubhouse is on the left.
Pace of Play Policy
A player who is discovered taking more than 40 seconds is subject to a warning and will be so advised. The player will be notified that exceeding 40 seconds on one more occasion will result in a penalty of one stroke. A third violation will result in a two stroke penalty, followed by disqualification. A player’s time to play begins when he has had a reasonable opportunity to reach his ball and when it is the player’s turn to play and can do so without interference or distraction. Penalties are applied individually, but more than one competitor in a group may be penalized.
