Please check the attached pairing sheet for your starting time on Monday, July 23. Play will begin from the 1st tee at 7:30am.
Format and 18-Hole Cut
U.S. Amateur Championship sectional qualifying is 36 holes. You are required to walk in all phases of the championship including qualifying rounds. After 18 holes, the field will be cut to the 31 players plus ties and anyone within 8 strokes of the lead for the final round on Tuesday, July 24. Final round is a 7:30am tee.
You are entitled to one practice round from July 9-22 anytime on a weekday and after 11:00am on weekends when tee times are available. There is a mandatory $25.00 cart/range fee for the practice round. You may call the Warrior Golf Club golf shop one week in advance to schedule a practice round tee time. Make sure to identify yourself as a U.S. Amateur Championship qualifying participant. It would be helpful if you make your own game before calling. Play the Black tees during your practice round except play the Blue tee on Hole #1.
Cart fee for caddies who use a golf cart on July 23-24 is $25.00 and includes range fee. Otherwise there is a $5.00 daily range fee for players on July 23-24. Range balls will be available in the golf shop. Make sure to check-in with the golf shop when you arrive and pay your appropriate fees! Any player failing to pay appropriate cart and range fees will not be allowed to start play. Fees are mandatory during the qualifying rounds.
Caddies and Pull-Carts
Caddies will NOT be available at Warrior GC. You may carry your own bag or have a caddie during the qualifying round. Caddies will be allowed to rent a cart for the qualifying round at this site for $25.00 which includes the player’s range fee. However, caddies may have to share carts during the qualifying round with no more than two carts allowed per group. Personal pull-carts are allowed.

Food and Beverage
The club’s snack bar in the clubhouse will be available for service.
USGA Policies
The use of distance measuring devices during qualifying and championship rounds is prohibited. The USGA prohibits the use of cellular phones during qualifying and championship rounds. Traditional metal spikes are not allowed. The penalty for non-compliance is disqualification. The "One-Ball" rule will be in effect. A score card is deemed official once the player leaves the scoring area.

Spectators
Spectators are welcome at this event and should walk on or near cart paths at all times. Due to the USGA’s policy, spectator carts will not be permitted for any reason.

Course Rating from Black Tees: 72.1/134 (6,581 yards, par 34-36--70). Note: Hole #1 will play as a 486 yard par 4.

Dress Code: Shirts must have collars, shorts are allowed but must be Bermuda length, and no denim. Policy is for both players and caddies.

Lodging is available at the Holiday Inn Express-Concord (704-743-1080). Hotel is approximately 8.5 miles or 15 minutes from Warrior GC. Check online for best rates.
There are 5 qualifying spots and 2 alternate positions. Field size is 104 players. An on-course playoff will be used to determine final qualifying or alternate position order. Players are responsible for making themselves available at the scoreboard to receive playoff information.
Qualifying Schedule
July 9-22 Course available for practice. Must call in advance for tee time.
Monday, July 23 Round 1: 18 holes of stroke play. Field cut to low 30% and anyone within 8 strokes of the lead. Field repaired according to score.
Tuesday, July 24 Final round: 18 holes of stroke play. Playoffs for qualifying spots and alternates immediately following play.

Pace of Play Policy
A player who is discovered taking more than 40 seconds is subject to a warning and will be so advised. The player will be notified that exceeding 40 seconds on one more occasion will result in a penalty of one stroke. A third violation will result in a two stroke penalty, followed by disqualification. A player’s time to play begins when he has had a reasonable opportunity to reach his ball and when it is the player’s turn to play and can do so without interference or distraction. Penalties are applied individually, but more than one competitor in a group may be penalized.
