To help get started with
handicapping administration we strongly suggest you set up a
prescheduled report to be run after each Handicap Revision. GHP
Online Club software has a feature to let you create this report
and then have it emailed to you on an ongoing basis. Please
follow these steps:
Step 1 – Use your internet browser
to go to: www.ghinclub.net
Login with your club’s credentials:
Association #: @@
Club #: @@@@
Password: gasc@@@@
Note: You can find your logon credentials in two places:
- listed on the Club
Credentials sheet (blue color) we sent to your club in early
December as part of your start-up package.
(This was the large white
Tyvek envelope with posting holiday instructions, GHIN
support phone cards, GHIN supplies price list, etc.)
- written on
the back of your TPP Installation disk folder
(if you or another
Club Administrator attended one of our GHIN Seminars)
Step 2 – Select the “Reports”
option from the menu list in the top gray section
Step 3 –
When the next window opens, select
“Handicap Index/CH” under Club Reports
in the Report Menu on the left
Step 4 – Set the following values:
Service = All
Print Group = <None>
Gender = Any
Holes = 18
Revision Date = Current
Status = Active
Sort Column = Member Name
Name Format = Full Name
Step 5 – If not already listed in
the right-hand "Display" column - move the category items you
want to see on your report to the right-hand box by highlighting
the item and clicking on the single arrow that points to the
right.
You will note that you can move all items in a column by
clicking the double arrows and any one item with the single
arrows.
Step 6 – Now set the following values:
Paper Size = Letter
Paper Orientation = Portrait
Step 7 – Scroll to top of page and
click on Run Report box at the top right.
A preview window will open. You may Export or Print the report
from this window.
Next, check out the look of the report in the preview window to
see if it looks correct.
- If it looks good – click on the X in
the top right corner to close the preview window and proceed
to Step 8.
- If it doesn’t – click the X and
change the various settings to create the report type you
are looking for and preview again until it displays the
information you want.
Step 8 –
Click on “Schedule Report” box at the top right:
Description = Create a description that will become the subject
of your email.
Run Frequency = Revision Date
Run Time = Any time after 1:00am is an acceptable time to
schedule the report.
Send To = the email address(es) you want the report to go to
(multiple emails can be entered with comma or semi-colon
separators)
Copy To = other recipients
Blind Copy To = other recipients (unknown and unseen to the
"send to:" or "copy to:" addressees)
Step 9 – Click Schedule Box
That’s it! You will now send out a Handicap Index report for all
of your active members every revision day to the recipients you
set up.
You can set up as many of these types of reports as you want. If
you have a separate Men’s Club and want the membership chair to
just get a report for men you can change settings (i.e. Service
and Gender) to send out that type of custom report. The sky’s
the limit on how you can use this very versatile option.
